Silly Questions

  I have been asked a lot of silly questions over the past two or three years. The people who ask them are serious, but I have to laugh on the inside. I decided to share some of them with you.

1) Am you related to the Duggars?

2) Are you Amish?

3) Are you Pentecostal?

4) Are you part of a cult?

5) Are you a nun?

6) Are you Mormon?

7) Do you have multiple moms? (talking about polygamy, which I believe is wrong)

8) Are you being forced to dress like that?

9) Are you a Jehovah's Witness?

10) Are you from a different country?

11) Are you Mennonite?

12) Do you speak in tongues?

  These are just a few of the multiple questions I have been asked while out in public, and on the few websites I am a member of, such as Blogger, Polyvore, Pinterest, and Facebook. The answer to all of the questions is no.

1) I am not related to the Duggars, though our religious beliefs are very similar.

2) I am not Amish, but do believe in some of the Amish values. I also know many people who are Amish and Ex-Amish.

3) I am not Pentecostal, but do have multiple friends who are.

4)I am not part of a cult, though many believe that the Independent Fundamental Baptist religion is a cult.

5) I am not a nun, nor am I anywhere related to Catholicism or the Catholic religion.

6) I am not Mormon, but have multiple friends who are.

7)I do not have multiple moms. That is polygamy, which I believe to be against the Bible, which states that a man is to have one wife. I have one mom, and I love her very much.

8) I am not being forced to dress the way I do. It is a personal conviction that I have.

9) I am not Jehovah's Witness, nor do I know anyone who is.

10)I am not from a different country, though I would love to travel to Asia, Africa, and Europe one day.

11)I am not Mennonite, but I know many people who are.

12) I do not speak in tongues. I believe that this is wrong.
